Executive Coaching or Performance Coaching as it is also known is concerned with helping managers to make the most of their potential by maximising their own performance.

What we aim to do is to remove or reduce the obstacles that are affecting performance and address the key issues of how managers handle change and deal with the issues that arise in the work place in a positive and focused way by improving awareness. Coaching is not a perscriptive process where solutions are offered, instead it is means of helping managers to gain the necessary insight into themselves, helping them to identify the solutions.

There are four key stages in coaching:
  • Goal setting. Identifing short and long term goals with a focus on performance goals , which have a clear outcome.
  • Clarifying the current situation. Determining the current situation and the key facts and figures that need to be considered.
  • Determining the options. Opening up the range of alternative courses of action and considering the pros and cons.
  • Making decisions. Putting an action plan together.

As part of the coaching process we will focus on helping managers to gain a better awareness of themselves and what motivates them. To do this we will make use of personality questionnaires if appropriate as well as in-depth interviewing.
